"Creating the Future of Health Sciences"
The ISC is organized by a group of highly motivated students and graduates who want to connect health sciences. Our goal is to broaden horizons by crossing conventional borders of medical sciences. We believe that interprofessional and international collaboration is the key to new knowledge.
As members of the International Student Congress, we share the common motivation of promoting interprofessional health sciences. Therefore, we support student researchers who take their first steps in the world of science by providing a safe and relaxed environment for their first experience with international congresses. After visiting the ISC, presenting research results or attending large international conferences should not feel daunting anymore.
We hope to learn from and with each other. We envision a world where everyone has access to knowledge and the possibility of engaging in research. We want to overcome barriers that stop aspiring researchers from standing their ground when undertaking their first steps in the academic world.

Interested in becoming part of the team?
The ISC team is always looking for new team members. Our work requires diverse skills and could be improved by your unique talent. All of us are excited about science and making connections with international students. We are looking for creative people as much as for people who are well organized or, for instance, social media experts.
Who are we looking for?
Communication with international colleagues is a major part of our work. Therefore, you need to be able to speak and write in English on an advanced level. Additionally, you should be able to work effortlessly in a team and complete your tasks reliably. You don’t need prior experience in scientific work or event organization. If you are unsure about your language skills or what your responsibilities would be, just write us or come to one of our meetings. Always remember – the ISC is for students by students and is a learning opportunity for all of us.
What we offer
When you join our team, you will make connections with fellow students at an advanced level in their studies who are happy to share their experiences with you. In addition, you will get to know the scientists who support the ISC and work with them during the annual congress.
Active members of the ISC are awarded 2 ECTS per semester. Also, they will receive a letter of recommendation from the rectorate of the Medical University of Graz upon successful implementation of the congress. Additional benefits of working for the ISC include the opportunity to travel to our partner conferences at reduced to no personal cost.
Still, the most rewarding experience will be that your dedication connects students from all over the world to one of the most charming places in Europe. Your work for the ISC will give science familiar faces and lovely memories.
